Work is still amazing.. go figure. I get to work on the lighting for Avenue Q this friday.. EEP! So very excited to see that show. It's not at the old globe though; the place is called the Spreckles Theatre. It sounds like the perfect place for this musical.
So I went to a party last week and a guy I met, Will, asked me for my number. Here I sat on pins and needles for a week and he finally texted me on sunday. I hung out and played cards with him and some of his friends last night till around 2am. They were all very cool and we're all techies. The game we played, Hearts, forces all players to be complete assholes which was awesome cuz i just met these people and it allowed me to just be my own competitive self. I think they liked me and more importantly, I think he likes me. He's very cute, tall, sweet, and he goes to S.F. state (kinda looks like Zack Braff..?). He asked me to call him to hang again sometime soon. how soon is too soon? I'm not used to this dating business and I won't really have time to do anything until saturday night so hopefully he'll be up for that.
I got to play with fiber optics today! They're quite tedious since we're drilling holes and putting them directly into the set. I didn't mind the monotonous work since I only had about 2 hrs of sleep last night.. i'm surprised they handed me a drill and set me up on our large A-frame ladder though.
Speaking of why I only got 2 hours.. I have a new roomie. Her name's Silver and she's a hip hop dancer/choreographer (a black/jamaican/philipino mix). She's really cool, but last night she was on my computer with the above light on until around 4 or 5am when she turned that light off and continued to type. Then her alarm went off super early, around 6, and would not stop and she ignored it completely. I was non-plused and grumpy.
Kaitie spent the weekend with me which was amazing! we got to cuddle and talk and gossip. I spent a bunch of money on food and stuff (yay smirnoff!) but it was worth the weekend of freedom. She makes me happy. We went to cafes and a yummy dessert place, watched Pirates (which was good but completely confusing), rented the notebook and secretary which are both awesome, and had a 3 day long giggle session. I can't wait to break out of college and be able to live and travel with her.
End of my ramble.. sorry if you read all that and are now disappointed in my lack of scandal. I'll try harder next time.
Oh yeah.. and my grandad is lost, as in we cannot find him. We think the government has taken control of his care since we can't really provide him with any. sad.
