Birthday
Today has been the best birthday because:
1) I got a long, heartfelt message from my French host mom. E-mailing her right after this.
2) I got a wedding invite.
3) I got a Double Chocolate Hill cake (from Iron Hill).
4) I got presents (a candle, candle holder, wall dec and sparkly photo frame) ... from my brother!*
5) I got lots of birthday wishes, and an invite to visit Chicago.
6) I got greeted by one of the docs, who is SUPER shy and thus has never said hello before.
7) And oh yeah, I got an I-Pod. (!!!)**
* This is a first. He doesn't do things like spend money.
** !!! = my parents never do stuff like that. Last time I really got b-day presents was when I turned 17, maybe 18. So I'm used to being treated more like a "grown-up" on my b-day, and wasn't expecting anything different for twenty-two. Twenty-two is a pretty grown-up age. Major surprise.
