So... 'tis finally Thursday.
This must be THE must crazily awaited episode in the history of Supernatural. You can *feel* the anticipation. It's almost sexual. I know my mouth is watering and I have to wait until tomorrow afternoon to watch, but it'll be worth it.
Now, some shelter updates on Orion.
You guys
remember Orion, right?
Well, he's been adopted!!! \O/
The girl who has adopted him will come to pick him on Saturday. She lives in Toledo, so our boy will travel to far lands to live a much deserved happy life. I'm so giddy about this, you guys, you have no idea. Happy doesn't even begin to describe it. It's moments like this that make up the bright side of life, after all the pain he's been through in his young life, and he's headed to a haven, to be loved and treasured for the rest of his life. I'm not kidding, I'm almost in tears just thinking about it. Life owed it to him. For once, the right thing happens to the right creature, y'know? Which is something you don't see often enough.
So, a couple of pictures of the boy.
These were taken right after his surgery, when he discovered that without having to drag his useless leg... OMGZ HE COULD RUNNNNNNNNNNNN AGAIN
And we were like FUCKOMG STOP YOU'LL STRAIN YOUR STITCHES BAD GRAYHOUND DON'T BE CRAZEE STOOOOPPPP!
But he wouldn't, he was freeeee of that dead anchor so yeah, he wouldn't really stop until he could barely stand and then he'd flop all happy under the sun to rest
Now he's fully recovered, he runs like the wind, he jumps, he plays, he flies through the Olive trees, up and down the mountain and he stands on his hind legs to hug us with his remaining front leg. He's 120% happy, which of course makes us think about what we'd do without an arm. We'd be depressed, some of us wouldn't want to keep on living. Dude, he enjoys whatever life has to offer him and enjoys every second. He's curious, and he learns so fast. And he *loves* so much, so intensly, every dog and person around him. I'm not gonna preach to you about applying dog lessons to your life, 'cos we're much more complex and twisted than a dog, but to be honest, I wish I were a simpler being who could just learn to enjoy every good thing I can find. Like Orion.
*sniffles* ok, so, these were taken today. He won't stop for a second, so, not very good, but there he is. Wave him bye-bye, guys, 'cos he's going on a trip very soon. With his new momma. Wish him a happy life.
AND NOW IMMA SHUT THE FUCK UP
Have some random shelterness. A Mish-mash.
Some of them are still at the shelter, some have been adopted, some of them are no longer with us.
And a random pic of my bed. Can you find the dog? XD
Ok, so I'm gonna go have some dinner and sleep now. Dream of little winged three-legged grayhounds ;]
Enjoy SPN!!!
