I bought a CD. For the first time in a LONG time.
By a "new to me" artist.
Feist - "The Reminder".
Those of you regularly subjected to radio stations that play new music may recognize the track "My Moon My Man".
She has a very soulful, real, voice. Think 80% Sarah Harmer, 10% Bjork, and 10% Je ne sais quoi. She's real, not overprocessed. There's no touch ups. Bluesy and Jazzy. I like it. And I'm only half way through the CD.
She also had this track on The Surreal Gourmet's "A Feast For Your Ears". This track isn't on this particular CD, but hey, if Bob likes her, she's worth checking out.
Yes, somehow foodie geekery had to come into this. You know me.
