Chesley - Day 2
I went into Owen Sound today and repacked E's things for longer-term storage, and found a lot of his belongings in my room in Owen Sound. I think I've got most of it, except for a few dishes still in Waterloo. We'll see what I find when I clean up my room over the next little bit. Packing up his stuff was hard enough first time through... second time, I just wanted it over with.
Then I started packing up more of my stuff for either Chesley or Waterloo. I didn't pack up a lot, but it was still going through really old stuff. Lots of memories today, good and bad. And dust. Lots of dust. My room has become my sister's closet, and I really need to properly clean that room. We're keeping the house for at least a year in case my grandparents can't stay at their place in the country this winter (our house is two blocks from the grocery store and pharmacy, and three from the mall). So I think it's going to become a store room with a bed. Well, that's what it's been for the past five years, why change now? :o)
Oh, car update - the alternator was dying. Dad got a new one, threw it in, and the light is fixed. Yay a total power failure averted! Good sensor in my car, apparently...
Made a pavlova tonight for my parents without the use of either parchment paper or measuring tools. I was quite proud of myself - besides sticking to the pan a little, it turned out okay. :o)
Tomorrow my grandparents are coming over and we're painting my room and attempting to re-stick the cloth to the inside roof of my car. Not sure how yet. I also want to check out this neat looking antique/flea market like store in "downtown" Chesley tomorrow. I can probably find some neat things for my room here in there.
So much for reading Harry Potter. I got all of four chapters read today. If my grandparents are here, none will be read tomorrow.
And yes, I miss kragars_shadow. I kinda got used to having him around. :o)
