Dragon Con and Costumes!
I’m so excited for dragon con! Not only is this my fist time going to D’con this is the first multi-genre con I’ve been to, so in the spirit of that I decided to make a costume of my own design rather than doing a character.
This is by far the most ambitious project I’ve taken on yet I’ve got over 100 hours of work into it.
It’s going all right so far my idea is a historic fantasy dress all in white with black accents. I’m almost finished all that’s left is to complete the hand beading on the corset and hand sew the hem.
I’m feeling pretty proud and I want to enter it in to the Friday night technical costuming contest but I don’t know the in’s and out’s of dragon con contests. The pamphlet says to show up a 5:30pm for pre-judging and the contest starts at 8pm. But is this a first come first severed contest where people start lining up at noon those are the only people who get seen? Or do you really only have to be there at 5pm?
Does any one know?
