Things I Learned This Year...

Jan 09, 2008 20:04

This past year was rough, a lot rougher than I ever expected. Luckily, it ended on a high note, and while the negative things have faded from memory, I did take a few lessons from my experiences...

- Trust myself, above all others. Even when I know things to be true in my heart, I can be too easily convinced by others that my emotions are wrong. More often than not, my feelings are justified.

- I make poor decisions when drinking. 'Nuff said.

- Better to be frustrated waiting for what you want, than unhappy with what you have.

- Destruction can be invigorating!!

- Honesty is always the best policy. When you lie, you don't change the truth, just delay it's inevetible discovery, and magnify its effects.

- I still suck with money, but am getting better.

- Physical attraction in a relationship is not just a superficial requirement and should not be overlooked.

Needless to say, I'm happier than I have ever been. This year is gonna be good!

Only one day left of work til vacation, I can not wait!! And I should hopefully have some very exciting Nintendo news shortly, and it has nothing to do with gaming?!?!?!
