killer girls (aka histrical fubari)
After a recent conversation with
plumosa and
alostrael about the superiority of female snipers I went looking for photos of the women who have inspired these stories.
Pleasantly surprised to discover that many of them would work fine for my regular "fubari" feature (although some miniskirts and bikinis would have been nice)....:)
The girls below are responsible for 100+ kills each.
the other cool thing I found was a page devoted to a WW2 light bomber group called "Night Witches" (all female pilots) who dropped bombs from outdated crop-duster biplanes with deadly precision.
Tribute from the enemy is the highest proof of valor:
"We simply couldn't understand that the Soviet airmen that caused us the greatest trouble were in fact WOMEN. These women feared nothing. They came night after night in their very slow biplanes, and for some periods they wouldn't give us any sleep at all. " -Hauptmann Johannes Steinhoff, the commander of II./JG 52-
Kind of cool. Not that Russian girls are the only ones capable of going to war. Here's a photo of a girl during the Warsaw uprising...(90% likelihood she died fighting).
That' is the sort of people I consider TRUE feminists....but what do I know, right...
