Since
ongoingmelody will be closing come February, I had it in my mind to download everything that I could possibly ever listen to now, and then re-upload it (Set on private! I'm so mean! XDD).
It's an epik task. Like, seriously.
And then an even better idea!
My computer has been reallyyyy laggy lately, due to all the textures, videos, music, and other miscellaneous crap that I'm constantly downloading. So as I type, I am doing a mass cleanout of all my music!
Idiotically, I just realized last night that iTunes actually SAVES all the mp3 files (Who knew? D;) and so me keeping almost 2 GB worth of music on my desktop was so seriously not worth it.
So with the help of my handy 7-Zip program, I packaged everything (and I mean EVERYTHING) by album into neat little .7z files (plus a few .rar files that I kept, for some reason, after extracting/adding to iTunes).
Considering the fact that MediaFire caps everything you upload at 100 MB (since I'm a free user and don't pay for premium), I would have had a HUGE problem on my hands, since a couple of my files (-coughMIROTICcoughFAHRENHEITcoughNEWScough-) exceed that limit.
Alas, I was very sad. T_T
But hjsplit finally came in handy! (For once.) It's been sitting oh-so-uselessly on my desktop, ever since I downloaded my very first Big Bang live performance video (ohgod, nostalgy). AND I HAVE ACTUALLY USED IT. 8D
But, to get back on topic, I am kind of dreading all the re-upping I'll have to do. Especially since I'll be VERY busy already this weekend...and, as I've found out, uploading stuff is NOT fun.
As more spam, I leave you with two things:
Firstly, another hilarious video...

And numero dos! A simple update story in which Michelle stupidly forgets that 1 GB =/= 1 MB and thereby ends up splitting one file into more than a thousand. Ye gods. So many my desktop couldn't even show them all. I had so much fun deleting all of them. ;~;
Only 26 and a half files left until I'm done with my collection...
