Why must people mow the lawn before 8 am? It's very impolite. I was planning on sleeping 'till at least 9, seeing how I stayed up 'till nearly 2.

Ah, now it's the leaf blower. Sigh. I guess I'll make coffee.

Why mow the grass at all? I'm sure lawn grass reaches some sort of growth equilibrium that is slightly longer than the socially acceptable length for the well manicured yard and if someone were to alter the socially acceptable lawn grass length then hundreds of landscape engineers would be out of work. I realize that doesn't answer they 8 am question, but I tried.

The first problem you have is your understanding of time.

There is no time.

Since each person simply has their own perception of time, my suggestion is that you should simply adjust all of your clocks to Central Time. Had you done so previously, the mowing would have greeted you at 10am, by your second cup of coffee, transforming from a petty nuisance into a harbinger of summertime.

Aren't I helpful? :-p

I'm of the opinion that two-stroke engines and diesel engines should not be allowed to be operated in residential areas until 11am. Noon on weekends. I wonder if there is a correlation between over-achieving 8am lawn mower-types and Republicanism. I bet there is.

And joggers. Don't forget joggers. A subset of "morning people".

Why is it illegal to smoke in restaurants in CA but these noise-polluting freaks are allowed to run rampant?
