1) Total number of books owned? No clue. Two giant bookshelves-worth in living room. I had tons more but they were lost in a flood at my father's house (where they were in storage).
2) The last book I bought? I bought Marianne Mancusi's book, A CONNECTICUT FASHIONISTA IN KING ARTHUR'S COURT. I'm doing an interview with her on Thursday.
3) The last book I read? KILL WHITEY by Ken Harvill. Just finished it this evening. What a brilliant book! I spent over an hour on the phone with him blathering on about how much I loved it, drawing comparisons to Shakespeare's Tempest, etc. Can't wait to read the next installment.

1. Bird By Bird by Anne Lamott - essential for writers
2. Writing the Romantic Comedy by Billy Mernitt - the bible on writing the rom com (he delves deeply into screwball rom com, as well -- my fave)
3. High Maintenance by Jennifer Belle - one of my fave novels ever
4. Me Talk Pretty One Day by David Sedaris - the best living humorist -- with the exception of:
