Chick-A-fil

Apr 12, 2005 09:42

I was just in the kitchen, getting some coffee, and my friend Kristin noticed a Chick-fil-A bag in the fridge. We started salivating over the idea of the chicken sandwiches with the pickles and the soft bread -- and the waffle fries ... it's mall food but it's really good ( Read more... )

Right, and you subsist on McDonald's.

I luuurrrve chik-a-fil.

They had one in the Cerritos mall when I was a kid. If they still do, you should go there - then you can go to Little India and shop for bindis and textiles and spices and things as well. (Think crossroads of the 605 and 91 freeways - it sounds way farther away than it is).

PLUS, they have the best salon for eyebrow threading there. I used to drive for forty-five minutes to go to this place - it is truly outstanding.

WOW - I am totally going to go! I want to get my eyebrows threaded and have a facial.

PS: Why is threading better than plucking or waxing?

I checked out the website: both Madonna and Gwen Stefani go there -- very fancy!

Yes, but it is still WAY inexpensive. (Last time, eyebrow threading was like $7, but that was a couple of years ago). It gets really packed, but the wait is not as long as it looks like it is going to be, because the women that are waiting for ages are generally either part of wedding parties getting Mehndi and stuff, or else they are waiting for one of the more popular girls. I don't subscribe to the idea that any of the threaders are "better" - some of them just speak more English or are especially funny or sweet, but if you are only getting your eyebrows done, what difference does it make? They have never done a bad job. So the trick is, when you sign in, to just put "first available", then you usually can zip in and out. I have never gotten a facial there - it seems kind of noisy to me, but maybe they have a special room ( ... )

We used to call it 'Chik-fellatio'.

You know the Mormons own Chik-fil-a. That's why they're not open on Sundays. I guess Joseph Smith and God felt it would be unholy to partake of the systematic toture, killing, and mass marketing of chicken on the 7th day.

Don't go to Chik-fil-a. Buy a pack of Morning Star Farms Chik Patties and eat at home...unless you want to contribute to the fudamentalist right.

"Fuck off"? Ok, so you're obviously not a Mormon. You must really like to eat Chicken then, right? You must like Chicken so much that you find it necessary to resort to anonymous profanity. This is understandable though because eating Chik-fil-a is a grave and serious prospect. Sorry for making light of the important epicurean contribution that Chik-fil-a makes to humanity.

Actually, it's the Baptists... I have a friend who calls it "Jesus Chicken" because they put a tract in every kid's meal...

Jesus, are you a child? Why are you posting on blogs that belong to adults? Why don't you go down to the back-alley and when your mommmy is in between blowjobs, ask her to give you some ice cream money because you really need some time to play outside of the cardboard box you call a home. Run along now kid, leave the adults alone.
