I spent over two hours at the bookstore this morning and only walked out with one book. I'd originally went to check out the Aphrodisia books but I just couldn't talk myself into paying 13 dollars for one. I wonder if they plan on ever making those into mass market... I know I've seen a few Brava mass markets but that line is more romance than the Aphrodisia one.
There were about three Luna's I want to read, but they were trade paperbacks too and all part of series which I've read as Library books. I hate having book three with out having books 1 and 2 as well.
The book store I went to is an independent one:
Schuler Books and other than the Barnes and Noble probably the best stocked book store in the area. They are usually really good about having a copy of every book in a series in the fantasy section but someone must have beat me to the ones I was looking for because I kept running into book twos. *sigh*
However, the book buying wasn't a total bust because I picked up some category romances at the grocery store (discounted there ;) )as well as finally getting Kleypas's newest book, Scandal in Spring which for some reason the place I work never got in although we have a somewhat decent book section.
The trip to the bookstore wasn't a total bust though since it's in a shopping mall that has a Hot Topic. I stopped in there and picked up Metal for the Masses V.4. I like these cds cause it allows me to check out a bunch of the less popular metal groups who don't get as much airtime as the others. In fact...I think it was volume 2 where I found Eighteen Visions. Of course, they're fairly more mainstream now. On this latest one we have a wide variety of bands I've never heard of as well as ones I have such as: Shadows Fall, Arch Enemy, Napalm Death, In Flames, and Bleed the Sky.
