(no subject)
Christmas is definitely not shaping up as expected!
Today was spent in the ER and I have to return tomorrow around 1 PM for another IV drip. The dr was going to try and get me home care, but I nixed that idea since I don't have insurance. And then we'll see from there. In the mean time, I have a raging infection on my face and have a needle taped into my right arm at the elbow joint, since my veins in the hand kept "disappearing" according to the nurses.
Back story: Jagr has a cylindrical cone/collar on her head because of a few injuries related to her foot, and I was sitting beside her and petting her. I did something to check on her foot and as my head went down, hers turned towards me and then my head got inside her collar (and she's already claustrophobic with the collar) and she lifted her head up to get away (or something like that) and as she did so gave a little yelp (not a growl or a bark, so I don't know how else to describe it).and with her mouth open, she caught her canine teeth on my skin right below my eye.
I of course scream and everyone comes running. Did I mention that it was midnight? I continue to scream in pain as I get dragged upstairs to the bathroom to see what happened to my face. From there, my parents wash the scrape out and then determine it's not so bad that I'll need stitches (which I say thank god to).
But today, when we went to ER, we were told it's deeply infected and should have had stitches and it will scar and we should have gone in last night at midnight - hence me getting an IV at the hospital and being told to return tomorrow and possibly again.
In the mean time, it's time to go for dinner at my aunt's.
