Oh, that's great! And what a brilliant idea - him as a writer, playing a part in a stage play. That's wonderful. I love the way that recasts his life. I'd disliked the past revealed in The Wall, but you do good things with it, here, rehabilitating it!

Thanks so much for sharing!

Thank you! I'm glad you liked it, I enjoyed writing it because it just "came to me" (unlike the last fic that was rather painful to write). I really disliked it the first time I watched The Wall, I was like "no, this is not what I had imagined!!" (On the other hand, I wasn't sure about exactly what I had imagined, but I felt that it definitely messed with my Noah/Angela headcanon somehow.) But then I thought, okay, so it's canon, why not use it for a fic... :)

I love that concept! Thank you for connecting Noah-the-writer to Noah-the-Company-Man. Of *course* Noah would like acting! I never put the two together and it all makes perfect sense. And it explains a lot of Noah's smugness at pulling off another successful "performance" with each lie or each bag-n-tag...I'm not a fan of Noah's alternative past, but this connects much-needed dots for me so I enjoy your story a lot!

I like the parts about him convincing himself, then doubting his sanity. It's so true. I can see him having a few moments of "wait a minute..." and "I don't know me anymore"

And a canon theme - feeling sorry for Noah when he brings it on himself. That last sentence is crushing. That's all the motivation he needs to be the Company Man for20+ years. Wow.

Very well done, as usual!

I'm glad you like it! I'm not a fan of Noah's past either - there were many things in S4 I didn't like. First, I disliked his attitude towards Angela (but I've fixed that now, lol), I didn't like Lauren a lot and when I watched The Wall I was like "Whaaat?!" But after my re-watch this summer, I guess I accepted things even if all of it proved my headcanon wrong... I don't know how I thought about "connecting the dots" like this, but once I did, it seemed to make sense to me. I'm glad you agree, and thank you! :)
