Looking for femslash!
What's with all the slash fics I've been posting lately, you might wonder! Well, I don't know, I just like Kyou Kara Maou so much and I find the male characters more interesting than the women. (Not that I can't see femslash potential, too!) I'm writing more Conrad/Günter as we speak, because, well, because who can resist a teacher/student pairing?
But I'll post the almost forgotten Sarah O'Brien fic very soon, don't you worry!
Also, a desperate cry for help! Lately I have been thinking about a story that I read on LJ in 2008. I remember when I read it; I was so captivated by it because it was so well-written.
Two main characters: a college teacher and her student go on a road trip together. It’s during spring break or something. They start early in the morning, the older woman invited her student without being sure about what was going to happen; they were not a couple but there was mutual attraction. They are on their way to a cottage somewhere. They talk in the car. The girl writes or has fantasies about dragons - this is important in the story. And I never read the end of it because it wasn’t finished!
The problem: This person is no longer on LJ! The third chapter was deleted because the writer was not happy with it, and soon after the journal was gone. I think that’s sad because I would have liked to keep reading the story! Now I’m wondering if perhaps the writer reinvented herself (I think it was a woman but of course I can’t be sure) under another username because that happens… or if the story was published again (completed, hopefully) on some other site! (Or even as a book!)
I don’t remember the title of the story. I think it was original fiction! And I think “dragons” was in the title. So, what I’m hoping for here is that someone has read it later than 2008 on LJ or elsewhere!
Another question. This story… I don’t even remember if I read it on LJ or if it was a short story I read in a book! It might or might not have been by the same author as the dragon girl story. Here, the main character was a young woman who was in a relationship with her mother’s old friend. I remember a scene early in the story on a beach. They tried to keep their relationship a secret at first but the parents found out and eventually accepted it. And they were happy but the ending was still sad. And no, this was not an AU fic for DWP even if it sounds like it could be. ;)
… Maybe should just go and re-read Truth and Measure… Actually, I remember that Telanu’s writing reminded me some of the dragon girl/teacher writer, but the story is not on The Rag and Bone Shop.
But… speaking of Telanu… I just went to The Rag and Bone Shop to see if she has original fiction there; I did not find any, but what I found was this: literacy, a Swimming Pool fanfic!!!! You know, the François Ozon movie with Charlotte Rampling and that blonde girl? Yeah. That. Oh Telanu, how awesome she is.
…But that’s the kind of stories I want right now. It could be anything… It could be Hermione/Minerva… or a Vers le Sud fanfic - speaking of Charlotte Rampling - or 8 femmes, or Angela/Heidi (as far as I know I’m the only one who has ever written the paring, am I wrong?! That would make me happy…), or something original….
