I've been waiting for this to be posted. It was one of my favourites in the original claims post. I know absolutely nothing about Borderlands but it's such an evocative work. It made me want to know more about the persons portrayed and why they were standing outside that store.

Thank you!

I thoroughly enjoyed the challenge even if it was a little bit fraught at the end! If you like fantasy at all I heartily recommend the Bordertown series. The anthology "Welcome to Bordertown" was just released as a paperback (http://bordertownseries.com/). roxy_palace did an excellent job with the story!

I nearly died when I saw this art. I'm too young for the original anthologies to be bought new, but I've spent a ton of money tracking them down on rare book sites, and I FREAKED OUT when I heard about the newest, and bought it the first day it was out. I was SO FUCKING EXCITED to see this artwork, and I had a billion ideas about how to make it work, but I really wanted to read it, not write it ( ... )

So yeah, I have loved Bordertown since forever, and when I used to (in another life) manage a bookstore I'd give them to the unsuspecting "you like fantasy? okay with an anthology? HERE! you haven't read anything like this before ( ... )
