A few people are moving to Dreamwidth because of these changes.... maybe it's just me but ugh it seems...weirdly set up? Maybe I'm just used to LJ or maybe DW made changes since the last time I've used it. I've tried to import entries over there months ago as a back-up and it kept failing. It just made me give up on it completely and no one used it at the time so I abandoned it. If people actually start using it maybe I can do the cross-posting or whatever.

I'm disappointed with the changes, not because it affects me (I don't see any changes on my account?) but because LJ is just like...killing themselves. They are already losing users due to the other sites. I don't know why they felt the need to change stuff. Bah. :(

Ok looking at DW now and it seems set-up better--IDK, for a while there I just didn't want to bother with it. xDD Still not sure if I even want to try the import again, though.

I'm not sure I'm going to actually be using Dreamwidth, I just made sure to grab my name and test out the import. If anything it's a great backup for LJ, kind of a safety blanket as I know it's all there as well as here.

Also though, I know it has more options without paying or ads unlike LJ, so we shall see.

Yeah when LJ was having weird issues months and months ago, I set up one as a back-up since I'd be so sad if something were to happen to my journals. There's like what, over seven years worth of stuff? xD

I did start up the back-up again but we'll see if it works this time...
Yeah, it's nice to have the option of importing and having a back-up, so I'm definitely grateful for that!
Though it's weird to see DW suddenly become a thing. Someone else just posted a link to theirs. .__. This is like the 5th one.
