Comin' Out of the Portal
Danny took yet another deep breath, sighing deeply, letting the air out slowly, letting his shoulders drop. It was time to let Maddie and Jack know: they were about the only two people left in Amity Park that hadn't found out about his 'halfa'-ness one way or another yet. And to be brutally honest, it was damn annoying to be at ease with everybody else and still have to dodge the two of them.
Still, this would be a big step - and possibly one with pretty stiff consequences, not directly, but indirectly. He inhaled and exhaled again. It's okay, Danny, you can do this...if Dani could tell Mom about her true identity, you can tell her AND Dad about yours...besides, they're STILL your parents! ...and they WILL love you no matter what...well, maybe after the freaking and the yelling and - gah, no, NO! I'm gonna do this, dammnit!
Finally, he headed out of his room, and managed to gather Maddie and Jack. He chose to have them sit in the living room. It seemed the least threatening environment for this kind of revelation. Standing before them, he began, voice wavering only once "Mom, Dad, I have something to tell you..."
