If I were to say that I am lost for words, it would not exactly be true. But I am somewhat . . . Well, suffice to say that the world is a stranger place than even I had imagined. I will do my best to explain just what took place and the impact it has had on me personally.
First of all, I managed to get a good night’s rest, in a decent bed for a change. Then early the next morning, we were summoned by some kind of guard who escorted us to an audience chamber. There we met three elves and had breakfast.
But that is just words, and does not do the three elves in question justice.
First of all was Zaris, the Chancellor who is also known as The Matriarch. Looking upon her made me feel - uneasy? Unbalanced, somewhat, as though the world is not as it seems. She is by far the oldest elf I have ever seen, and she is not even of the Iylar races. At least I think that is true - she did not say so, but Zaris looks like an Erlin Elf.
The second person we met was a male Loari by the name of Alarin. He was old too, but only counting centuries - not, as with Zaris, milenia. He is the Astrologer here at the College, and I think instructs some of the more senior pupils.
And finally there was Selina. She is a Linaeri Seeress. I am not sure why she was there, perhaps it was because we mentioned dreams when we arrived here.
We were greeted and asked to sit. While breakfast was being offered to us, Zaris started to tell us a tale of ancient wonders which which we somehow appear to have become entwined.
