In which our Heroes start on the next stage of their adventures

After a decent night’s sleep, we set off. We were not exactly sure of our destination, but it involves sea travel. There was a ‘lively discussion’ as to whether we were headed for Leathes or Lethys, before it was decided on the former. Similar sounding names, completely opposite ends of Rhakhaan.

I hope in future Reann sends the prophetic dreams to those who are actually capable of interpreting them. Or perhaps to one of his actual - you know - followers? Or am I just being petty? Perhaps I should chat to a priest about it. (Not Dareama though, she is a bit fixated on Eissa.)

So, as per our instructions, we followed the road from Gemmel eastward to Troll Bridge. From there we booked passage on a ship to Leathes, across the L’Kyran Sea. Apparently that is the quickest way to get there from Gemmel. An unpleasant but uneventful journey for those of us not used to sea travel.

Once we disembarked, our instructions were to either follow the road to Kryndal or take a boat upstream to Gryphon College. Despite being sick of boat travel we decided that was the quickest - and probably safest - option, and thus continued our journey upstream. Nothing happened, but Tremorian was happy to sign up as a guard for the duration of the journey. At least it reduced our expenses.

Oh yes. Note to self: get Tremorian to stop calling Thymhe a necromancer. He may be Dyari, but he is infact a Thaumaturge. It is all Eldith’s fault; he is the one who keeps whispering to Tremorian not to bother the ‘necromancer’. While it the fear this brings stops him from annoying Thymhe, it is not worth the trouble it could bring if Tremorian repeats it too loudly in front of the wrong people. I am certainly not prepared to be lynched for the sake of a Dyari and a stupid farmboy.

I have discussed the issue with Dareama and pointed out the potential problems it could cause us. We are working on a solution before it gets out of hand.

Anyway, to get back to our journey. We went upstream as advised, and were dropped off by the side of the river with instructions to walk a little further on foot. And low and behold - there it was.

A large gated area with numerous buildings. The gate had a depiction of a creature that made Tremorian cry out (possibly in fear, possibly in joy. When there is no brain involved, it is hard to tell). After which he confirmed that it was, indeed, the same creature as the one that cried out to him in his scary scary dream.

Now we just have to gain admittance.
