I was a little dismayed to notice how many TV-related posts I have been doing lately, so I thought I would share a quote I enjoyed from "How Fiction Works" by James Wood:
"Literature differs from life in that life is amorphously full of detail, and rarely directs us toward it, whereas literature teaches us to notice..."
So true. I don't do a lot of reading about writing literature, so I have no basis for comparison, but I have really enjoyed this book so far.
