I got a call this morning that our family friend died. It's very upsetting, although I am glad that his suffering is over. The disease came up on him very fast.
He was a such a lively, happy guy. It's going to be weird not having him around. He and his wife used to go down to the beach when my family did. At my uncle's wedding he must have danced with me ten times, just making me laugh the whole night. He was my one uncle's best friend... and, he and my mom actually used to date. He's been a big part of our family. It's sad to see him go.
RIP Steve. You will be missed, but never forgotten.
