"there are no aims of education. the aim is education."

i've developed an extreme case of intellectual inferiority here. it's weird though, since how well i do isn't even dependent on how much effort i put into my classes. i type up a paper the night before and get a 97. i write a different paper the night before and get a B-. i study one day for last quarter's econ midterm and got a 93. i study for four days for this quarter's midterm and didn't even make the median.

granted, a lot of variables could have been under my control, but they weren't and hindsight is always 20/20. i've accepted it and moved on -if there's anything i've learned in the past two years, it's that some things just fall into place.

also, i have a profound appreciation for the school that i'm at. it takes a special place to bring out discussions on quantum mechanics and GMOs while amazingly trashed.

in four weeks, the supposedly best time of my life will be half over. i will not let academics get in the way of learning.
