In which amise does her bit for holiday consumerism

I got up early this morning for some Black Friday shopping at Jo-Anns. At 15 minutes 'til 6:00, the line to get in was relaxed and polite. I chatted with a couple who had just come from Wal-Mart and a lady there to stock up on scrapbook supplies. I wanted a tablet of assorted scrapbook paper as a birthday gift for my step-sister and the store had an unbelievably good price on one. I also picked up a mini-tool kit for myself, the perfect size for various SCA crafts on the go.

As of 6.30 this morning, I was 95% finished with my holiday and birthday shopping. W00t! Three more Christmas gifts and one more birthday gift and I'm donedonedone for the season. Everything else will be bought on-line or made.

Anyways, from Jo-anns I headed to the mall for coffee and one more shopping trip to a cosmetics store to pick up some powdered foundation that I've been itching to try. Again, the line was nice and relaxed. I heard tales of fist fights over at Best Buy for the really good deals. It made me very thankful that I wasn't there.

Home before 8:00 and I've been drinking coffee and eating leftovers ever since. Now, I'm off to grab a shower and head to my Dad's to wash my filthy truck and then I'll work on my project for the rest of the day.

And probably drink more coffee.

Cheers.
