FujiRyo Plotbunny which I will eventually flesh out after catching up in the Manga, pt.2

There were a lot of things wrong with him when he came back, though very few would recognize the fact. Even those that caught a glimpse of the emotional baggage he carried would instinctively shrug it off as a consequence of growing up, as Sakuno did when she and her grandmother picked him up at the airport. There had been nothing obvious in his life to hint at the drastic change that he had undertaken; none of his family members had died, he had recieved no grevious injuries muchless been involved in any accidents, in short there was no report of tragedy in anything even vaguely touching his life. Echizen had no reason to come back to Japan changed.

Despite that, the eighteen year old who deboarded in Narita International Airport was vastly different from the child he had been in his middle school years. Not that the women who collected him showed any outward signs of noticing these developments; Granny Ryuzaki might have percieved something, but Sakuno saw nothing but his physical growth. The fangirling had been enough to pull out the middle school persona he had once kept.

Never-the-less, even Sakuno's denseness was penetrated by his quiet, though polite, request for their willingness to maintain his privacy and inform no-one of his return.
