So, I don't know what's possessed me lately, but apparently I'm going to end up on the board of MECCA.
I was inspired by the Arabic Club at Wash U to try and reproduce some of what they did here at Tulane. So, tonight we held our first Arabic Coffee hour in Willow A at 8. I was actually kind of dissapointed by the turnout. But it will get better. We're going to try to watch movies later this semester and keep having the coffee nights every other week for the arabic students. There are so many ideas buzzing around in my head that I want to do. I was talking to Ridha and he seems all for it. Ali didn't seem so keen on the idea, but I think that's just because he gets really busy and doesn't want to put any more on his plate this semester, but that's understandable. Anyway, so that's my life in a nutshell lately. Also, why do applications have to be so damn difficult to do? Why can't I just do them like now and have them done in like 20 minutes and then go talk to people for like 20 minutes so that they know me? No, instead it's the whole, write 3 essays then get recommendations, then get this and that and this and that! GAH! Oh well....Off to bed with me!
