I moved in over a year ago, but I'm only now really getting a solid idea of what I want my finished apartment to look like. Part of it was that I was in a really bad place emotionally and brain chemistry wise and that the move itself had totally and completely wiped me out. Also, I own this place, and that opens up a lot of options that aren't available to renters in terms of 'home customization'.
But I finally know a good deal of what I want done. Now it's just a matter of getting there. The large mountain of boxes attempting to usurp the lands of my livingroom are proving to be a real problem. No, I won't take pictures of that. Ahem.
So anyway, my bathroom got two new upgrades.
First an image of my new bathrobe hook. I disliked the one that comes with my currently installed hardware, so I got something nicer with a close enough line. It's huge and sturdy and mounted very firmly to the wall. It gives me a pleasing feeling.
This is a SimpleHuman product. I basically love almost all of their stuff. It's always well made and well designed. This holds liquid soaps and moisturizers and has a nice rack to hold things. This was the perfect option because before all I had for putting stuff down was the corner of the tub (not an even surface) and the tiny window sil. IT IS GORGEOUS btw. And the individual pumps come off if you want to do intensive cleaning, i.e. change products. They all mount like that, wall bracket and clip on dispenser. It's awesome.
Here's a full shot so you get it in the context of the rest of my shower/tub.
I am currently debating if I want one or two pump model or a second of the model I have for the rest of my stuff. After that my bathroom needs a combination second towel bar, hand towel bar, storage above the toilet. Some of which can be combined. Also some actual repair work. All grout lines that connect two surfaces (i.e. tile to tub, tub to floor) suck. A lot. And the toilet is wobbily and unstuck from the floor and the sink could use a bit of stabilization as well. Then there's the door frame, the less said the better. It's really about two days worth of work, but considering I got my bathroom BRAND NEW and RENOVATED, this annoys me a lot.
