Hello Fall Season!
Woah. Okay so. Whoever wrote parts of that definitely has been to a shrink with a very similar diagnosis to House. I'll never be able to watch that scene again, the one where House first begins to really cooperate. Those feelings and phrases. The way they have to be torn from him. The slightly out of control desperation with which he deflects. And the final painful and quiet admition to his roommate.
Also some of the expressed feelings about the pills and how they might interfere with the parts of you that you like and want to keep. Or even the whole of you.
I can't watch that again. I lived that. And it's too close to having lived that. I nearly turned it off actually. If it hadn't veered directly into House specific issues that quickly, I would have. I still feel off.
So uh, kudos to the writing staff.
And now I wonder if I need to somehow put out a nonspoilery warning.
