Ah, Bones. The TV show I really should like but just struggle to do so.
I think it's because I love the books so much and I resent the fact that they took the wonderful Tempe Brennan from those pages and turned her into... well, what you see in the series. Emily Deschanel is lovely but she's just not Tempe Brennan. (Too young, for a start.) And Booth, lovely as he is, is no match for Andrew Ryan or Jean-Luc Claudel or even Michel Charbonneau. And there's no Harry or Katy, which is a crying shame.
*sighs* I'll keep trying to like Bones but I just don't think I'm going to succeed.
