About House's complete and utter asshatnes in regards to Stacy.
I don't think House actually wanted to get back together with Stacy
He's too honest and too smart for what happened to have been a great surprise to him. For all of his social failings, it's not because he doesn't know better, it's because he really doesn't care. But he obviously knows HOW, we've seen him do it just to prove he can.
Also, we never hear House declare he actually wanted her back, we do hear him say over and over how Stacy's unhappy, she's frustrated etc. We also, very breifly hear him state that once he's done, Stacy and hubbie will be back together or Cuddy wil send stacy away, either way she's out of his hair. It wasn't stated equivicobly, but the two outcomes were stated clearly.
I think the whole point of the big show was to get her away from him and possibly make sure she's happy at the same time.
What does this mean? House and Wilson are SO doing it. He was at House's place!!!
