Sadness

So, my car is broken again. Yep. I think it's the kick in the ass I've needed. My financial situation isn't suddenly going to get that much better. Six months from now this isn't going to be that much better. It's just not. So, I'll deal with it now. I should have dealt with it before. But well. I didn't. So now. Some thing's got to give

yeah, i got my hand forced in the auto department too.
was going to wait a few months, for when everyone would be doing deals, and was forced to buy early; it worked out okay.

if you buy new, do your homework & bide your time.
be as informed as possible, and sleep on any decision.
if you buy used, try to buy a trade-in at a big dealership, as they will usually offer warranties, and otherwise you are just asking to get screwed.

are you gonna go after that civic you talked about?
cuz hondas are a smart buy, and often used-certified...

Seems like it's car buying season. I was the meat in an ugly sandwich a couple weeks ago and am just waiting on the insurance of the asshat who hit me to follow through. I think i'm going with a Nissan Versa.

You sir are due and ass-kicking. You in a wreck is information I generally would like a little bit sooner than two weeks. And especially in a way other than an aside on lj. Doodoohead!

On a side note, your last text message cracked me up.

And on another note. If you get a little Versa, and I get a Prius, we need to have a little car race with Jason and his Matrix. For serious.

is my rio not GOOD enough for your little car race?
cuz it sure is LITTLE enough...

p.s.

don't buy a prius.
hybrids are cool, but that one is overpriced.
and the yaris is TINY; chevy makes a slightly larger, just-as-cheap, AMERICAN version (aveo?)

I meant Yarius, not Prius. I don't want a Prius. They kinda freak me out. I don't really want I car I start with a button unless it is a FULLY electric car.

And I was implying little hatchbacks. Your car is not a hatchback and therefore would not qualify.

And I don't want an American car. Sometimes they're good, sometimes they're not. Give me Asian car intuition any day.

Well it depends. I'm going to try and see if I can get a Toyota Yaris. They are super cheap period. Similar to the Versa that Ryan is up for. And a brand new one of those might run me pretty close to the same as a used-certified Civic. So that's what I'm thinking...but I have no clue.

I'm actually sort of terrified of all this. My credit situation is...shit pretty much, so I have no clue how this is all going to work.

But something has to happen. And HOW!

bad credit sucks.
but you have a good job, and your parents would co-sign for you, right?

so you should be okay!

Yes I have a good job.

And my parents would co-sign, except for their own financial difficulties make that impossible to do so.

So I might have to suck it up and call my grandparents. And if that doesn't work...well we'll see.
