Today I did everything productive that I needed to do which was AMAZING since this was my craaazy busy day. Sent all 700 emails that I needed to send out and did blue chip stuff (more than once) and homeworky things and a job interview. woot!!
The interview went really well. I got the job if the background check and drug screening go well, which they will. I'll "find out" on Tuesday/Wednesday and she said "it should be back on Tuesday so if you dont hear from us by Wednesday, call so we can schedule your training class." also, they wouldnt give me a drug screening if they werent planning on hiring me because it costs them money. That kind of freaked me out because she said "we'd like to do the drug test now" and I looked around for the nearest exit and she saw me do that and laughed. I didnt have to pee in a cup though (which I was NOT comfortable doing) but instead put a cottony thing that tasted bad in my mouth for 2 mins. The manager made me feel soooo comfortable and I'm glad about that. I'm starting out as a courtesy clerk at min wage bagging and getting carts, but based on my initiative and work ethic, I could be promoted within the first month and the next step up makes over 8 dollars an hour. I feel good about it and think it will be fun!
Also, after 3.5 hours, my printer works now. Life is good.
okay, tired now.
(Also, Char is being kind of crazy with the basket ball game. I made her take a deep breath and say "its only a game". I dont get that, but I'm also not a fangirl and never will be.)
Keith and I had a for reals "our kids" convo last night which was...interesting. It started when I was telling Ben that I got pots and pans from Keith for Christmas and Keith said that he was going to get my a vacuum for my birthday. I told him that I was not going to be his maid and cook and clean for him all the time, where he retorted that I told him that I wanted to be a stay at home mom and that I should practice cooking and cleaning now because it will be more difficult when I have the added pressure of watching kids while doing it. (here is the crucial part) Then he says "plus, you'll have to watch them for an extra year because I want my kids to start kindergarden a year later" (this is a completely different story for another day). Talk Talk Talk...Then he says (jokingly) "you arent big enough to have football kids anyway, so I'll have to teach my kids to play baseball instead". Apparently, I have progressed to potential baby momma position.
My name is Pamela and I'm 21. I am a Classics major with a religious studies minor and may perhaps actually graduate in May when hell will freeze over. I enjoy knitting, reading and long walk on the beach. Harry Potter is my fandom, if I have to choose one, but I am not a fan girl (as stated above). I would like to be an archivist when I grow up, but I really want to be a mommy one day (not anytime soon, thank you). Keith is a high school football coach and so our lives revolve a lot around sports, but mostly football. Our one year anniverary (officially) is coming up in March as well as his birthday, which everyone should expect to hear a lot about in the coming weeks.
