My Prayer
In hopes that I will never be a mistake....
Father, hear my prayer this night,
Protect those I love,
And give me the will to fight.
I beg you for patience,
And the willingness to care,
To help all of those who will accept it,
When they are in their moment of despair.
My Lord, I ask for guidance
For when I’ve lost my way.
I ask that you crush me when I’m arrogant
So that I may not stray.
Father, I seek You’re glory
And ask for the willingness to give,
So that I may see Your way,
And only then begin to live.
My King, I ask for comfort,
For those moments when we’re scared.
I pray for all You’re children,
That we may know You’re really there.
My God I thank you for you’re blessings,
For those You have placed in my life,
I love them with all that I am,
And for them, I’d give my life.
My God, these are the things I pray this night,
As the demons cry,
And the angels take their flight.
