Its so impolite and rude to send a mass e-mail but rather than send an individual message saying the exact same thing.....its so much easier to send you all the one big happy message.
I've been offered a job teaching in a remote indigineous coastal town called Mapoon. Its very very very very far away from everyone i've ever known. Its only until the end of the year but they've kinda told me that if i want to stay they'll offer me a position next year and possible permanency. Im a little scared but mostly im very excited and looking forward to this opportunity. It means i'm going to be leaving on Sunday the 15th of April and not coming back until school holidays at the end of the year and i won't get to see many of you until then. I might pop back for holidays on occasion and visits but mostly i'll be very isolated.

I'm gonna miss you all heaps but its gonna be fabulous......i know you all think im stupid stupid stupid but i promise you im researching this very thoroughly and i am fully aware of what im doing and what im getting myself into. Just promise to write me occasionally and keep me informed of how your lives are as I will be with you.
I get paid extra money because its a remote (!!!!) town and i have cheap teacher/government accomodation supplied for $11-30 a fortnight (yes i could be paying as little as $5.50 a week rent). Im very excited but not silly....i realise i could have an awful time but if i say no now....i wont get another opportunity like this ever. Im going to be leaving so soon and theres so much to sort out yet.....just don't forget me and i'll keep you updated as to what im doing.
