I'm just going to sit here amazed that anybody other than myself reads Zamyatin. I actually have two different copies of We on my shelves.

Is that the book that is said to have inspired 1984? I've been meaning to read it for a while now, but I've also got Anna Karenina and War and Peace lurking around, as well as The Master and Margherita. Russian authors scare me.

Indeed! I HATED 1984, preachy little overstuffed pamphlet, but We had me up all night thinking.
