I read Amelia Bedelia to Elf. She's still a bit too young (as I suspected) to get the fun language misunderstandings. They leave a list asking the new maid (Amelia Bedelia) to "change the towels" and she thinks it's quite a shame to change such nice towels, but that's what it says...so she changes them.
