Elf and Scouting
I am so glad For the hard work I did with Elf for cookie sales these past 2 years. She has got SO much out of ALL the parts of the experience.
Selling the cookies, becoming more confident and outgoing, earning enough for her air ticket to England, earning her own electronics and those she has shared with or given to others, earning funds to pay for ALL her scouting costs...dues and registration and EVERY activity she has done since that first year of scouting have been covered by her share of the cookie money (she gets, into her troop account, $0.40 for each box she sells; the troop gets $0.25 into the whole-troop account).
This year, she'll get to go to a week-long horse camp, a week-long general camp, AND a weekend swimming and canoeing camp. And her scouting money will cover it ALL.
I'm so proud of her!
