NEW LIVING ROOM!!!
Technically it's the same room. But it's LIKE a new room!
We got a 2-piece sectional sofa this morning, dark beige, with recliners on both ends, used off of Craig's List, for $240. YAY!!
It is now in our VERY CLEAN living room...WITH the old futon, in a U-shape, so that we have SO MUCH SEATING. Ben just said, "Best Couch Ever. Best Futon Ever. This is a godsend. How are we so lucky?"
We can have huge fannish gatherings with ENOUGH PLACES TO SIT...and sit comfortably!

I LOVE OUR LIVING ROOM!!!!! Fannish HEAVEN!
ETA: I have now put away the books that were stacked on the coffee table and tidied up some of the mess that resulted from having to move EVERYTHING out of the room. I've consolidated my stationery and papers into a single box to go through, emptied one of the old end tables, and made the hallway traversible again. The kitchen...well, it still has 2 rocking chairs and the cat tree in it...so it's not useable yet, but it's better...and the cats are IN. LOVE.
