Last Family Hold-Out Falls To Genetics

Ben has now Joined The Fold, officially wearing glasses like the other three of us. We went to EyeBuyDirect and got $8 glasses, so we got him two pair: one like daddy, and the ones he chose. HE chose the dweeby glasses and LOVES them. And although he insisted he "didn't need glasses," when he put them on, he was like, "Everything's SO CLEAR!!"
Ben had homework that he'd been dawdling on while we worked ALL EVENING. So he came to my appointment with me to keep working. He didn't last.

I was slicing veggie for chicken pot pie (about a month ago). I was a tiny bit uncautious...and working too fast, and sliced off the end of my finger getting the LAST LITTLE BIT of celery. The pies were GREAT, though...and the finger bit that I sliced off is in the freezer, not the pie.
There was no way to stitch it, so I just kept it bandaged till it stopped splitting from drying. In the first photo, you can see the capillary bed in the flash. The jagged edges in the second one are from me trying to yank away. You can even compare the two finger shapes!
As it's healing, it's leaving little divets. Terrible, fuzzy photos, but here:
