Girl Scout Cookies!
Elf has, as of today, sold OVER 2012 boxes of Girl Scout cookies in this, her first year as a Girl Scout. (Yes, I've told her that it will NEVER be like this again!) We have, as of today, done EIGHTEEN site sales in addition to the pre-sales stuff...that's been every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday for the past six weeks.
*whew*
I'm SO SO proud of her. She has asked EVERY person at EVERY store if they want cookies. She is more confident, she has a louder and more certain voice and projects. This from the girl who, three months ago, still leapt behind me and held onto my clothes when re-meeting family friends. She learned to say "Would you like to buy some Girl Scout cookies?" in Spanish, and practiced and practiced and said it to anyone who looked like they were confused or unclear on what was being said.
I'm SO PROUD.
And we're going together to Midsummer's at Chicago Shakespeare next Sunday. We're going to the UK together. We're going to see Taming of the Shrew at the Globe Theatre.
