We now have five cats.
One is Basement!Cat (Torlei), for whom we're going to have to find a new home before it gets really cold, since she never comes upstairs and it's COLD down there. There is a WAR on between her and the cats in the icon. Really between her and Gordon (Lord Gordon, because he's el gordo, name courtesy of
b1uemorpho because he's both fat and lazy and has that air of things being owed him). The low yowling from all the adult cats and the jockeying for power is like watching episodes of Wild Kingdom. Live.
The new kittens were acquired over Columbus/Native American Genocide Memorial Day on our trip downstate to C'dale and St. Louis. Olive had been asking for a cat of her own, and we had friends with 7-week-old kittens so, well, relatively free. Then I couldn't resist the one I would have chosen when she picked the black and white one, so I brought a gray tabby home (he's more placid).
Their names are Leonard (black and white) and Sheldon (the stripey one, he's "wearing his Hallowe'en Doppler Effect costume").
Gordon is the dominant one. Can you tell? He also weighs 18 lbs to Grey!Cat's 10 lbs.
KITTENS! Seven weeks old and new to us, still unnamed
Just three weeks later, at 10 wks, they've doubled in size like bread dough.
Elf, being gentle with Sheldon.
SO CUTE!!!!
