1. Her non-responsive, depressed confusion at the end of ItLoD after Jolinar's death.
2. The look at Jack through the force field in D&C.
3. Netu
4. The utter panic in "Desperate Measures" when she realizes they are going to kill her right there and she's out of ways to stall or stop them.
5. Crying in the locker room in S6 when Jack disappears in "Paradise Lost" so soon after they lost Daniel.

5. Temperance Brennan ("Bones" 2005-?)

ETA: You haven't heard of Sam Carter????? AAAaaaagh! Amanda and Natalie are older/more obscure. But Carter...she's pervasive and really hard to miss. Also, Amanda Tapping, who plays her, is a lovely, lovely, wonderful person who's open and friendly and generous and funny and goofy. (WHAT crush???) Aeryn Sun is perhaps one of the most amazing characters (notice the lack of gender modifier) ever on television. Seriously. (Icon changed to show her.)

I'm sorry, I really haven't heard of Sam Carter, or Amanda Tapping *hangs head in shame.* I'm on Wikipedia doing my research right now :D I have next to no knowledge of sci-fi shows, and I've never seen an episode of Stargate SG-1 in my life. Or Star Trek, Battlestar Gallactica, Farscape, Torchwood etc. I have been making some progress with the likes of Firefly, though, and I adore Fringe, which I guess you could consider sci-fi. I'll try them on for size at some point!

1. "I'm going to pack my goodies and I'm going...HOME!"
2. "Aberdeen!"
3. Letting Four use a jelly baby to draw her out of her grief over the Robot's death...then enjoying the prank on Harry.
4. Insisting on investigating on Karn and calling the Doctor childish for yelling at the Time Lords...then picking her way BLIND across a rocky planet's surface because she would not give up.
5. Standing up to Scorby in "Seeds of Doom"...in Antarctica "House that...Jack built..." and, even better, in the house when she shows him up by making PLANS rather than not fighting.
6. Thinking the Doctor was dead (pick a time...though the one in "Pyramids of Mars" is my favorite, I think)
7. Walking right past Benton or the Brigadier and ignoring their orders because "Well, I'm not a member of UNIT, am I?"

1. EVERY time she beats up a bad guy who makes a move toward her (Epps, the Central American crime dude, the pimp from "Girl in the Gator," etc

Top five Forever Knight moments.

1. Natalie walking toward the creepy-blood-drinking-was-just-dead guy in her morgue (and telling him off while not turning when he's being creepy behind her just days later)
2. The terrifying moment of Natalie losing it and pulling the oh-so-wrong "You owe me!" as she begs/demands that Nick save Richard...and the fact that her "I love you" to Richard just before his death is the ONLY time in the series she says those words
