They owner from like 3-4 owners ago of this house (we've been here since June 2000) has been getting mail from his bank here all along, in spite of over 30 we sent back "not at this address". How scary is it that his bank kept sending his bank statements here in spite of repeated blue sharpie marker saying he didn't live here? I called a month or two ago to point this out. I had to call today because we got his checking account statement (with, of course, his acct. number on it) and a check he'd forgotten to sign!!!
I pointed out to the lady that it was scary that the bank, in spite of the "not at this address" letters coming back for TWO YEARS continued blithely to send them anyway. She said she'd take care of it. I told her that her bank should address the greater problem of nothing being done to flag the account after repeated returned letters with big-blue-sharpie-marker "Not at this address; return" written all over them.
So, fwiw? Lakeside Bank in Chicago...not the most on top of things.
I'm trying to find and follow up with his church in the off chance that they can get info to him better than his bank. Goodness.
