Exactly...isn't it weird? It's like there's a nexus and we're orbiting it separately and intersecting occasionally while the things that intersect us BOTH are frequent.
Also, the show is AWESOME. Course, I've loved the movies since I was 16, and I love time travel and paradoxes and, well, with the series, for me it's all about the Hot Chicks With Big Guns Blowing Shit Up. :-)
ETA: So...who's your favorite movie/TV Lois? And who's your second favorite?
My favorite Loises are: 1. Teri Hatcher 2. Dana Delany (DC Animated) 3. Margot Kidder
And SCC...Oh...the joy. And it's not bad to watch after the fact...it means you get to ENGORGE on the good...and marathon through, and not be surprised and upset when people die or weird plot things happen because you got to be warned in advance....
Oh, yes, I forgot about Dana. She was fun as well! But I never got into the animated series the same way as I have the other versions of Superman.
That is true! I just marathoned Dollhouse and had much the same thing happen. I knew things I shouldn't have, but on the other hand, I knew the series finished strong!
I really like going in informed. I refused even to START watching BSG, for example, until after the last ep had aired; it was just too dark a show for my mental health to stand the waiting and wondering.
I haven't seen all the incarnations of the DC animated universe. I've seen bits here and there of B:tAS, bits of Batman Beyond, all (minus 2-4 eps) of Justice League (where I've had most of my Lois encounters--really OUTSTANDING show!), bits of Static Shock (I wish they would get that on DVD; my kids would love it) and....I think that's it.
I'm glad you enjoyed Dollhouse. I am too annoyed by the premise to watch until more (or all) of it has aired (if then).
So, where are you in OH? I have family in Columbus, and had a friend who lived there for around a decade. My friend kevenn (also comics people, but mostly Wonder Woman, and the other DC women) lives in Cleveland. And in Chicago, we're mere hours from OH anyway. Any partner, pets, or kids? What do you teach (I am high school English)?
As far as DCAU, I've seen all of B:TAS, S:TAS, Batman Beyond. I've seen several Justice League, but not all. But none of the others. I hear Batman: Brave and the Bold is cheesy but fun, plus Blue Beetle is in it! So I'll probably try it soon.
I love Spectacular Spider-Man, though (if my LJ header didn't tell you). Your kids would love that. Fans and critics are calling it the best Spider-Man cartoon ever, and I agree completely. It's on Disney XD - I think most cable and satellite providers carry it. The first season DVDs are coming out soon, too.
I didn't know if I would like Dollhouse based on that premise, but it's surprisingly thought-provoking. It examines a lot of questions of identity, free will, slavery, technology and person-abuse... without beating you over the head.
I'm in Dayton. I'm married (17 years) and have a 6-year old daughter. I teach K-8 general music at a Catholic school - just finished my 15th year in teaching, though it's been in Texas, Egypt, Japan and now Ohio.

I really should give it a go - I watch too many series after the fact. :)
Heh, also ETA:
Loises in order:
1) Margot Kidder
2) Erica Durance (Yes! She is the closest to comics canon IMHO)
3) Teri Hatcher
