Presentation today

Nov 02, 2007 17:45

My AP presentation went really well. I talked too much (as I was afraid I'd do), but several folks were very new to AP and said the information was REALLY helpful.

Having talked for 90 minutes straight has me totally knackered. I came home, had soup for lunch, have been taking it easy (lounging on couch with computer), have not been talking for the past hour plus and am still feeling that pressure on my chest. My voice has decided that I should not be allowed to use it to abuse my breathing. I think I AM going to be staying mostly put for the next couple of days. Mostly.

Course, there are All These Things I now want to do since I can't quite. Amazing how much enforced lethargy improves motivation...

I'm hoping that the prednisone does the same thing it did last time of kicking in just as it runs out (Sunday) so I'll be able to get back to work. Otherwise I'll end up out till Tuesday. Either way I feel really good about the positive impact I had on several folks at the conference today; I was able to offer suggestions that helped folks with experience as well as give some suggestions to newer folks that made them feel more confident in their planning and attempts.

And, hey, résumé thing! :-)

I am on my third liter of water today and had 3 cups of mint tea this morning and now am thinking more mint tea would be good. It does seem to give me the illusion that I am breathing better, which feels nice.
