I love my family!
Things were wonderful, even if I felt blah today due to hormones (damn those dratted horrid things). The drive back was long, but we got here.
Eann had, in our absence, turned my kitchen into glorious beauty, and I am filled with the delight of coming home to a Clean Kitchen.
iingaartist had, sadly, not managed to kill the dog, but she was WONDERFUL in being here and taking care of things. Yay, wonderful her!
Ben was so tired when we got home that, after I carried him in and got him a bit awake, I did get him to tinkle, then got him to step one foot out of his pants, but when I told him, "Put your pants in the laundry and pull up your underwear," the next thing I knew Elf was telling me that Ben was in her bed. And, lo, poor, exhausted boy was there, dead-out-asleep, in the lower bunk, with his underwear still not up and the pants dangling from the one ankle. I fixed this and he stared at me from his bed for a moment before curling off to one side vehemently as soon as his quilt touched him.
Elf was running on adrenaline and talking a mile a minute to Tell Everyone Everything And Stay Awake. :-)
I got stuff put away! Yay! I am sleeping out in the house, hoping that Husband will get some real sleep and rest that he's not really gotten much of on the trip.
It was really a lovely, lovely vacation and I am thrilled we went and thrilled with the kids' behavior and thrilled with what we got to see and do and how relaxed I felt and feel. SO wonderful to take a GOOD family trip and love it and love everyone and have a good time.
