No more pigtails
My daughter gave herself a haircut today. I wanted to cry. The one good thing is that it's now too short for her to twist locks up under (and into--ugh!) her nose while sucking her thumb. Must admit, she's pretty cute, though I still miss her long hair--it had ONLY JUST gotten to start to be thick and lustrous (at least in back):

And our garden...or, at least, the tilled earth that will soon (hopefully) be growing things
