I finished! Graded the last four this morning.
I drifted off on the sofa for a "brief nap" last night shortly after posting, then was awakened by sobbing-girl. I got up to console her (and then sobbing-brother, who was sympathetically unhappy to be awakened) and ended up sleeping snuggled up next to her on her pallet. As she hugged me round the neck, she told me, "Mommy, I sad when you run away from me." She's now telling me, "Mommy, you getting a car hit when you running to Miss Denise's. I'm going to take care of you. I don't want you to run away. That be sad for Elisabeth."
Isn't she dear???
Ben got up this morning and went in and woke up his daddy by snuggling into bed with him.
I got to stay home a bit later than usual because I'm meeting the students at the forest preserve for the freshman retreat. It's going to be fun. I must bathe, however, because I am stinky after yesterday's exercise.
