I found some of my old diaries from school - fecking hilarious. But for Throwback Day, those of you who are a certain age might remember these travails that I'm describing here...

Wow, the times I spent trying to get the top 40 and cursed the damned dj for talking over the ending of the songs ;)

IKR? I used to tape the top twenty on Sunday nights - I've still got some of the cassettes, but I doubt they'd play now. They are ancient artefacts now!

I almost rang in once, "Will you SHUT UP! You're ruining my collection!" ;)
I bet they still work, antique honey, antique! lol.

Oh my word, the mess when the tape tangled. Ugh. I always found starting school essays to be the hard part especially if it was a really open assignment without a direction to take the writing. It's fun to look at your handwriting and the cheery green pen.

I loved using coloured ink - I was going through a green phase then, but turquoise was my other colour when I could find a bottle. I had a cool antique fountain pen I'd bought at a jumble sale and used it a lot.

I wrot to Mickey, because the first diary I had was a Mickey Mouse LOL
I totally recorded music onto tapes. For me it was off of videos, but my freind would also bring us back copies of taped radio music from the States.

So much fun to read old diaries :D<3

It is funny, my younger self was like a different person I hardly recognise - and yet in some ways I've barely changed at all! LOL
